Nestled in the heart of downtown Arlington Heights is a unique wedding and event venue called The Metropolis Ballroom. The sky-high ceilings, exposed wooden beams, hardwood floors and full-length panel windows give the feeling of a modern urban event space.
Upon entering, you and your guests can choose to walk up the stairs or take an elevator to the second floor of the building. You enter the ballroom directly to the left of the stairs, or take a right and visit the sales offices, coat check, Campbell Vail rooms and Harmony Suite.
The luxurious bridal suite is large enough for full bridal parties to congregate and assemble, but cozy enough for the bride and groom to get away from the party and catch a few quiet moments to themselves. The bride and her girls can enjoy complimentary champagne upon arrival as they get their hair and makeup done, while the groomsmen sip on craft beer across the hall in the Vail room. The Harmony Suite is available to rent throughout the duration of the event for full private space and storage.
With the ease and simplicity of keeping the ceremony and reception at the same location, more and more brides are choosing to tie the knot on site. A ceremony at The Metropolis is stunning. The ballroom is transformed effortlessly into the ceremony of your dreams, and the natural light from the windows is a photographer’s delight. As an added bonus, a baby grand piano is located on site and free to use.
Most cocktail receptions are held in the Campbell/Vail room, complete with a full wood vintage bar, exposed brick and a chic, contemporary loft feel, overlooking the intersection of Campbell and Vail Street. Your guests will enjoy getting the party started early in this room as white glove passed hors d’oeuvres make their way around.
After cocktails, the party will move back to the ballroom. As the curtains are drawn back, you and your guests will be wowed by the stylish party space, offering a capacity of up to 250 guests. Overlooking Harmony Park is their outdoor veranda, where guests can step outside for fresh air and possibly a late-night snack! The veranda is the perfect photo op for virtually any season- guests can view the winter lights of Harmony Park under the warmth of the venues heat lamps!
Couples love the taste, freshness and variety of all the food made to order ON SITE in the Metropolis ballroom. The menu is extensive and customized in style and preference based on the couple’s needs.
Working with the Metropolis Ballroom’s Director of Weddings, Shawna, is an absolute delight! She is extremely flexible and willing to work with all budgets, ensuring that your vision comes to life. I have worked with Shawna previously, and she has been open to assist with any question or concern that might arise.
Shawna takes pride in the fact that only one event is booked at a time, so brides and grooms can be comfortable knowing that the Metropolis Ballroom offers the option to have full private access to the venue.
